THE RELATIONSHIP OF COMPREHENSION OF MENARCHE

WITH READINESS ADOLESCENT GIRLS TO DEAL OF MENARCHE

AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF SAWIT BANTUL IN 2015.

ABSTRACT

Background: Adolescent who experience menarche had average age was 12 years in the US about 95% and most experiencing anxiety. In Indonesia adolescent who has experienced of menarche had average of age 12 years 5 months with problems of menstrual disorders (38.45%). Female student at elementary school of Sawit Bantul that aged over 10 years were 35 students, 5 students (14.29%) was menstruating, 30 students (85.71%) not yet experiencing menstruating, 2 from 30 students (6.67%) know menarche but has not received the counseling about menarche.

Objective: To determine the relationship of comprehension of menarche with readiness adolescent girls to deal of menarche at Elementary School of Sawit Bantul in 2015.

Methods: The study design was analytic descriptive, cross-sectional approach. The Population is the female student  Elementary School of Sawit Bantul aged over 10 years and not menstruating. Number of samples are 30. The sampling technique by total sampling. The Analysis using chi square formula.

Results: Most respondents amounted of 16 female students enter to category that understand (53.3%). Respondents were not prepared 17 female students (56.7%). Results of chi square is the P value of 0.015.

Conclusion: There is a relationship of comprehension of menarche with readiness adolescent girls to deal of menarche at Elementary School of Sawit Bantul in 2015.
